What is PFLAG ?
Parents, Families & Friends of Lesbians & Gays (PFLAG) is a national
non-profit
organization with over 200,000 members and supporters and over 500 affiliates
in the United States. This vast grassroots network is cultivated, resourced and
serviced by the PFLAG national office, located in Washington, D.C., the
national Board of Directors and 13 Regional Directors.
Local PFLAG chapters, like ours here in Ridgecrest, provide meetings, support,
advice, information, and occasionally some social activities for our families
and their gay, lesbian, and transgendered members.
Wherever you live, there may be a local chapter not too far from you.
We highly recommend that you also take a look at the
national PFLAG website.

PFLAG of Ridgecrest holds monthly meetings, on the second Wednesday
(or sometimes Monday) of each month. Please see the
"meetings" page
for a schedule and topics. To protect the anonymity of our members,
the location of these meetings is not disclosed publicly. You may send a
private message via E-mail asking for meeting information, or you may leave
a message with your phone number on our answering machine at 371-8145.
A PFLAG member will call you back and tell you more. We also ask that you
respect the privacy of our members by not disclosing our membership or
repeating in public personal things that may be discussed privately at
our meetings.

We the parents, families, and friends of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender persons,
celebrate diversity and envision a society that embraces everyone, including those of
diverse sexual orientations and gender identities. Only with respect, dignity, and
equality for all will we reach our full potential as human beings, individually and
collectively. PFLAG welcomes the participation and support of all those who share in,
and hope to realize, this vision.
